Jeff Dyer (he/him)

Jeff has served in the not-for-profit sector for over 25 years, leading as the CEO of agencies involved in poverty reduction, affordable housing, youth leadership development, ending homelessness and now serves in his dream job where that all comes together on the team at Trellis Society in Calgary. In each of these roles, he has had the privilege of aligning personal values with organizational vision: creating spaces for kids to thrive, leaders to grow, justice and mercy to emerge and everyone to belong.

He has lived his entire life in the Treaty 6 and 7 Territories of Alberta growing up in Edmonton, moving to central Alberta before moving to Calgary back in 2010. His early career aspiration were to become an elementary school teacher and principal and so graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelors in Education but became so enamoured with the not for profit sector that he acquired a Masters of Business Administration so that he could help these organizations realize their vision in remarkable, sustainable ways.

In addition to serving on the Fast and Female Board, he also volunteers on the Boards of Futurpreneur Canada Foundation, Co-Chairs the Plan to Prevent and End Youth Homelessness in Calgary, serves on committees of both the United Way of Calgary and the Calgary Foundation and manages a minor soccer club.

Jeff and Kristy celebrated their 25th anniversary this summer and have two kids, Maddie and Ian. For fun, he is a soccer chauffeur, marathoner and server at the wide table in their home to offer hospitality to friends, neighbours and strangers alike.
