Shannon believes sports has the ability to inspire greatness, create unforgettable moments and connect people through unparalleled experiences. It has played a huge role in her life, at both the provincial team and university levels, and contributed to the development of her career. She has close to twenty years of professional and elite amateur sport experience in live production, strategic partnership relations and multiple athlete development programs.
Some of Shannon’s career highlights include currently, holding the position as Chief Athletics Officer at the University of Saskatchewan, enabling the pursuit of academic and athletic excellence. Shannon created and directed end-to-end Game Day experiences in the NHL, CFL, NLL, Pan Am Games, IIHF Women’s World Hockey Championships and various National Championships. In line with Fast and Female’s pursuit of breaking barriers, she was the first woman elected to the Board of Directors at Football Canada (currently in 2nd term) – part of the Business Development Committee that developed the 5-year strategic plan, the Female Development Committee and co-chair of the Diversity Task Force.
