STRATEGIC PLAN

Thanks to the support of Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities’ Community Development Grant, Fast and Female was able to work alongside Megan from Mosaic Engagement through 2023 to create our first formal Strategic Plan from 2023 – 2027. We are thrilled to embark on the next chapter of our organization, building on its 19-year history. Learn more about our Strategic Plan and pillars below!

ORGANIZATIONAL SUSTAINABILITY

IMPACT AND ENGAGEMENT

Prioritize creating an inclusive, welcoming and accessible culture and environment through our diverse events, programs, and stakeholders.

  1. Solidify the Fast and Female participant engagement cycle, from participant to Role Model and beyond.
  2. Develop a yearly programmatic strategy focused on long-term impact.
  3. Determine metrics to measure success of impact and reach.
  4. Build and maintain an active network of partners working together towards
accessible, diverse and inclusive spaces in sport.

ADVOCACY AND EDUCATION

Establishing ourselves as a resource and educational hub, we will use our platform and national reach to advocate for girls in sport and physical activity, and empower them to advocate for themselves.

  1. Collaborate with academic institutions, knowledge keepers and holders, and community advocates to create, develop and translate knowledge on girl-centred and girl-focused sport and physical activity opportunities in Canada.
  2. Work alongside grassroots organizations, prioritizing those that serve diverse communities, to better bridge the gap between academia and practice.
  3. Generate resources and aids to share broadly with individuals on their journey to advocate for girls in sport and physical activity.
  4. Educate girls and youth through our evidence-based and research-driven curriculum workshops.

BRANDING

Prioritize and establish a refreshed organizational brand that is intersectional, values-aligned and resonates and engages with our community across Canada.

  1. Complete a rebrand process to develop and determine a new brand for the organization, including a new name and logo.
  2. Develop a yearly marketing and communications strategy to share our story, and (re)build and engage our community.
  3. Create and strengthen intentional partnerships with values-aligned organizations to support our brand and increase our reach.

ORGANIZATIONAL SUSTAINABILITY:

Building the organization’s longevity through solidifying and strengthening its operational practices through an intersectional lens.

  1. Develop a sound and equitable framework for organization policies, procedures, and tools, including governance bylaws and terms of reference.
  2. Develop and execute an annual fund development plan that focuses on diversifying revenue generation and identifying core funding opportunities.
  3. Ensure Board and staff structure support operational plans.
