FAST AND FEMALE RECIPIENT OF COMMUNITY SERVICES RECOVERY FUND, 2023-2024

The Fast and Female team is thrilled to announce that we are one of the Government of Canada’s Community Services Recovery Fund (CSRF) recipients for 2023-2024!

As a national charity with a lean but mighty team, the CSRF will support our ongoing growth and reach to continue to empower girls through sport, physical activity and education. The CSRF funds will focus on building and strengthening operational pieces within our organization. The project, titled Fast and Female 2.0., includes the following activities:

1. Create a REAL Role Model online portal;
2. Streamline the background check process for all event and program staff and volunteers, including covering the cost;
3. Arrange ongoing training and educational workshops and courses for F&F staff, Board of Directors, Youth Advisory Council, Role Models, and other supporting stakeholders;
4. Hire a Communications Manager and Fund Development Manager to develop a communications and fundraising strategy;
5. And host our first-ever staff and board retreat to build a stronger team culture and align with our strategic plan for 2024 – 2027.
