Girl Guides’ GirlJam Celebrates Empowerment and Physical Activity

Girls across Ontario and Nunavut are getting ready for an unforgettable weekend chock full of inspiration, empowerment, and exciting activities!

On May 24 & 25, Girl Guides of Canada, Ontario Council is hosting GirlJam, a fun-filled, two-day event at Exhibition Place in Toronto.

What is GirlJam?

GirlJam is a one-of-a-kind weekend which offers a sleepover experience for Guiding friends coming from across Ontario and Nunavut. Attendees can participate in a 5,000-person campfire, along with exploring and developing interests in STEM, arts, and physical activity.

The GirlJam weekend will be packed with opportunities to explore different activity stations, some of which will be facilitated by Fast and Female.

We want to take this opportunity to thank Ontario Girl Guides for their support in empowering girls through physical activity.

Let’s Try Out A New Sport or Activity

We believe in the power of trying new things.

Fast and Female is excited to set up and run a number of  activity stations, led by community organizations who are experts in their sport and physical activity.

GirlJam participants can expect to try a variety of movement-based activities, such as seated volleyball, Indigenous hip-hop, tennis, basketball, fitness, soccer, wheelchair rugby and so much more!

Fast and Female’s Positive Affirmation Station is where we shine a spotlight on uplifting affirmations that boost self-confidence. At The Leader Within All of Us Station, we will teach participants to recognize their unique leadership styles, strengths, and attributes, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among leaders.

Want to unleash your creativity? At the Champion Creations Station, girls can design and craft their own personalized medal while immersing themselves in positive affirmations and sports inspiration.

Additionally, we are thrilled to welcome renowned women athletes who will inspire and motivate participants throughout the event. Girls will have the opportunity to meet with our athletes as well as relatable, empowered active leaders (REAL) Role Models, who will also share their experiences and inspire attendees.

We are excited for Snaptique to be a community partner where participants at GirlJam can also create memories with new-found friends and role models.
