FAST AND FEMALE TO HOST TEN CHAMP CHATS IN ALBERTA, PRESENTED BY ATB FINANCIAL

Fast and Female is pleased to announce a new partnership with ATB Financial that will bring 10 empowering events to girls across Alberta in 2020.

Fast and Female is a charitable organization led by Olympic Gold Medalist Chandra Crawford. Fast and Female’s mission is to keep girls healthy and active in sports. Founded in 2005, Fast and Female has reached over 15,000 girls to date through 240+ events thanks to the volunteer work of 700 athlete ambassadors.

“Aside from the benefits of physical health and wellness, we know that sports help young women develop the confidence, leadership and teamwork skills that are essential for success later in life. We are so thrilled to be partnering with ATB. Thanks to their support and belief in our mission, together we will connect with and empower hundreds of girls in Alberta,” Una Lounder, Executive Director, Fast and Female.

The goal of this partnership is to provide girls who may face financial and other barriers to sport with the opportunity to gain exposure to local programming and Fast and Female R.E.A.L. (Relatable, Empowered, Athlete Leaders) role models to give them skills to succeed in sports and life.

“At ATB Financial, we care about the future success of Alberta’s youth and supporting opportunities to learn and grow through the power of sports and teamwork,” said Curtis Stange, president and CEO of ATB Financial. “ATB is excited to partner with Fast and Female to help young women achieve their full potential. ATB’s participation in Fast and Female embraces the need to build a strong Alberta by investing in our future leaders.”

This event series will take place in five Alberta schools with each school hosting two events. The first set of events will take place between January – March 2020, with the second event taking place between April – June 2020. During these 3-4-hour, fun filled events, the participants will connect with our Fast and Female role models who empower, inspire, and motivate them.

The participants can expect to receive an inspirational talk with Fast and Female athlete role models, physical activity stations, fun giveaways, and most importantly, the opportunity to meet strong role models and make friends.

Thanks to the generosity of ATB, together we hope to reach 1,000 Alberta girls.
